Awareness-Raising Activities

With our work, we want to promote global citizenship though arts and culture (literature, music, visual arts and audiovisual production). Our awareness-raising work is aimed at all citizens, but especially at children, young adults, and the academic community. We hope to raise awareness about world poverty and the Millennium Development Goals in students and other academic collectives. Our goal is to create a more critical and solidary citizenry.

This task is to be accomplished through different activities such as:

  • Workshops for students of the University of Valencia on world-wide social realities, volunteer work, or global citizenship.
  • Digital Short Story [Spanish] contest organised with the Ayuda en Acción Foundation, for students in primary and secondary school, aimed at educating children and young adults in audiovisual communication and reinforcing values acquisition.
  • Storybook presentations, including lectures given by people from the countries the stories are original from.
  • Workshops for children in primary and secondary school on issues such as children’s rights, the fight against poverty, or respect for diversity.
